Streak for the cash 12pm edition

Possibly the most addicting game in the history of the Internet. I mean to gamble for free and possibly win money what else do you need?
possibly a crystal ball?
Anyway so you ask what is Streak for the Cash? if you don't know you can go here http://streak.espn.go.com/en/story?pageName=streak\howtoplay for a quick how to.

Now for those that already know its on to the noon time picks to see if I can start my new winning streak since yesterday was killer losing 4 out of the 5 match ups(lost all my Big East picks, starting with Kemba Walker). For the noon match ups I can choose Ohio State winning by 15 points or more or AOR (Any Other Result)against Northwestern, or pick North Carolina's winning margin or Miami's Free Throws made.

My gut reaction would be to pick Ohio State by 15 or more points since I watched Northwestern play 2 week against Penn State and they looked so awful offensively that their football team could out score them even with an injured Dan Persa at QB. But then I check out that they played Ohio State and lost to them by 1 point during the regular season and it makes me think that this is one of those trick props put up by the streak master. So I look deeper into the statistics and see that Northwestern is 4-8 on the road with wins over  Northern Illinois,Texas Pan American, Iowa, and Indiana all doormats in their conferences. Their 8 losses in road games to St. Johns, Purdue, Illinois, Michigan State, Minnesota, Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin are by an average of 14.625 points. Then I look at Points Per Game for(PPG) and against(PPGA) in road games and come up with 70.1 PPG and 75.75 PPGA. If I take way the outliers of 97 scored against Texas Pan American and 41 scored against Penn State since they constitute the highest and lowest scored PPG that changes PPG to 70.4 and if we do that to their PPGA (88 against Illinois and 64 against Indiana) we get 75.7 so no real significance in data change at all.
The last and most important point for this game will be the motivation factor for Ohio State. Do they feel like they locked up a 1 seed already for the NCAA tournament? Does Jared Sullinger see what Kemba Walker did yesterday and try to go after Player of the Year? Do they go the way of  Kansas, and Pittsburgh?

My choice Any Other Result due to the motivation factor of already locking up a 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. and the fact they only beat Northwestern by 1 point at home earlier in the year on about the same days of rest (3 days vs 4 days).

Score prediction: Ohio State 71 Northwestern 61

The second game features Miami Free Throws made vs. North Carolina winning margin:
Again have to look at the lesser team to see if they can hang with the Big boys. Miami is 4-8 on the road with wins over Florida Gulf Coast, Wake Forest, UNC Greensboro, and Boston College(what a collection of road wins) and losses to Memphis, Rutgers, Duke, Clemson, NC State, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and Georgia Tech. They lost to North Carolina by 3 at home earlier in the year with 6 free throws made, so they have won this prop once before.
Statistically they make 14.6 free throws during road games, but are wildly inconsistent with a range from 4-24 made free throws in a road game. they are also about a 70% free throw shooting team, but again very inconsistent especially yesterday as they shot under 50% for the game against Virginia.
This is another prop that is tough to consider since Miami is so inconsistent on a game to game basis and factoring in having to expend a lot of energy to force OT look for Miami to come out sluggish.
North Carolina definitely has a motivating factor for this game possibly earning a 1 seed in the NCAA tournament if they win the ACC tournament so look for North Carolina to come out strong and dominate from beginning to end in this game.
My choice would be to go with North Carolina Winning Margin

Score prediction: North Carolina 83 Miami 63 with Miami making 8-10 free throws

Hopefully you find this helpful insight into making picks
